#DARK CRYPT BLACKSWORD ANY GOOD SERIES#
The main reason you are struggling is you invested far beyond the int/fth softcaps for almost no benefit and need more basic stats, and you are probably not using a +5 dark sunset staff which is all you actually need on a hex build.Despite fan criticisms for its PvE content, Dark Souls 2 has unquestionably the best PvP content the series has seen. If you want a good weapon for a hex build that needs less requirements then try bandit axe (great weapon for casters due to high base damage => high infused damage), roaring halberd, silverblack spear, or honestly really any weapon you like infused with dark will get you through the game on NG. Not a great weapon to upgrade since you should have used your twinkling titanite on sunset staff instead. You need to be able to dodge, take hits, and attack more than once before regening stamina.ĭrangleic sword is a pretty average weapon for hex builds. That's probably why you're struggling so much with the enemies. I can only imagine your vigor, endurance, adaptability, attunement, and vitality are very low. For comparison, you gain less dark atk bonus from leveling from 30 to 70 int/fth as you did from leveling 24 to 30 int/fth. Why do you have 70 int and fth? You've only gained about 25 dark atk bonus from leveling it that high over 30/30 int/fth. Its a weapon to use on ng+ when you have lots of stats to spare. It's good, but it needs a lot of str and is really heavy and slow.
