Sports Day was taken very seriously at Notre Dame, and if you won, you’d be sure to tell everyone about it. If you had friends in other houses, you could wave goodbye to that friendship. Just before the end of the day, the winning house was announced. All five houses would pile onto the field, and students would make banners, bring megaphones and cheer their peers on.
